I was born in montreal, raised outside of Montreal on a resrvation called Kahnawake. I speak my language Kanien'keha and also teach it. I am an only child, and an engaged to be married this July to my Fiance Roddy. I have 1 step daughter and her name is Drew, she is 13. The name that you read on the top of the page is my mohawk name it means : She is holding the moon. it is pronounced GA RAH KWON HA WAY.
I have worked at an elementary school in Kahnawake for the past 8 years. I am the mohawk language instrutor for grades :K - 3. When I am not working or in class, I enjoy spending time with my firends on the golf course. I am also very busy these days planning a wedding!!
I am very passionate about my job, I enjoy being a teacher and hearing the students being able to speak their own native language. Knowing that I helped in them learning gives me a great feeling.
My life is pretty simple, I have not many other interests, my culture is very important to me and my community, helping pass on a part of our culture is what I enjoy doing best.
I enjoy and am very addicted to Facebook, I enjoy reading all the gossip there is and looking at pictures of old friends. My favorite all time movie is Romy and Michelle,
